Abstract:
A display control unit displays a cross-section image of a prescribed cross-section in a first medical image. A findings classification unit classifies each pixel inside a section of the first medical image, into at least one finding. A feature value calculation unit calculates a first feature value for each finding inside the section. A weighting coefficient setting unit sets a weighting coefficient having a different degree of weighting according to the size of each finding, for each finding. A similarity derivation unit performs weighting calculations on the first feature values and second feature values, in accordance with the weighting coefficient, and derives the degree of similarity between the first medical image and a second medical image, said first feature values being for each finding calculated in the section and said second feature values being for each finding pre-calculated for the second medical image.
