Abstract:
The present invention relates to a self-contained biological indicator for a steam sterilizing agent. The self-contained indicator (20) for a steam sterilizing agent comprises: a case (22) having a mounting step (25) that protrudes from the inner side toward the center thereof, a sliding hole (49) formed at one side thereof, and an accommodation groove (h1) formed at the upper edge thereof; a partition (30) for dividing the inside of the case (22) into a left and a right section; a capsule (27) which is disposed at one side of the inside of the case (22) divided by the partition (30) and in which a culture solution is stored; a cap portion (24) coupled to the upper part of the case (22) so as to be liftable and lowerable; a spore support portion (36) which is supported at the upper part of the case (22) by the mounting step (25), and which stores spores (S) so that same falls when the spore support portion is pressed; a filter (43) disposed above the spore support portion (36) so as to prevent the inflow of bacteria or spores (S); a pressing portion (35), which is disposed between the filter (43) and the spore support portion (36) so as to press the spore support portion (36) when the cap portion (24) is pressed down, and thus bacteria or spores (S) fall; an incline portion (26), which is disposed at the inner lower part of the case (22) so as to cause the culture solution flowing out from the capsule (27) to flow downward; and a culturing portion (28) which is formed at the inner bottom part of the case (22), and which promotes the culturing of the falling spores (S) and the culture solution having flowed downward through the incline portion (26).
