Abstract:
A SiN-based integrated optical chip for an optical fiber gyroscope employing a SiON polarizer comprises a first optical fiber-waveguide mode converter (1-1), a second optical fiber-waveguide mode converter (1-2), a first 3 dB coupler (2), a SiON polarizer, a second 3 dB coupler (6), a third optical fiber-waveguide mode converter (7-1) and a fourth optical fiber-waveguide mode converter (7-2). The invention can effectively improve the stability and reliability of an open-loop optical fiber gyroscope while ensuring the precision thereof. The open-loop optical fiber gyroscope is compact, and has low power consumption and cost, and simple structural design and process.
