Abstract:
A single-cylinder shock absorber is provided with a cylinder, a free piston for dividing the cylinder interior into a liquid chamber filled with a working liquid and a gas chamber filled with a gas, a piston slidably inserted into the cylinder to divide the liquid chamber into two working chambers, a seal ring provided to the outer periphery of the free piston and sealing space between the cylinder and the free piston, and lubricating oil sealed within the gas chamber and lubricating the space between the seal ring and the cylinder.
