Abstract:
A single-piston annular cylinder, and a rotor air compressor and a rotor internal combustion engine applying the annular cylinder, wherein the annular cylinder comprises three parts, i.e., a housing assembly, and a rotor ring assembly and a rotor piston assembly arranged in the housing assembly. The housing assembly and the rotor ring assembly are concentrically arranged, and a gap therebetween forms an annular cylinder. The contour of the inner surface of the housing assembly is not a perfect circle, and an arc-shaped protrusion (13) is provided on the circumferential surface of the inner surface of the housing assembly. The protrusion (13) is always in contact with the front surface of a rotor ring (21), and the contact portion forms a constant sealing tangent. According to the annular cylinder, the gap between the rotor ring assembly and the housing assembly is divided into two independent and non-communicated cavities by using a simple element, and the two independent cavities change in an equal proportion with the rotation of the rotor piston assembly.
