Abstract:
The invention relates to consumer products. The aim of the invention is to develop an inexpensive compact single-use device for applying a substance to material surfaces and making it possible to use the applied substances in the form of volatile and non-stable substances which undesirably react with atmospheric air. The inventive device is embodied in the form of a structure which comprises a substrate (2) provided with a storage unit (1) made of absorbent material and fixed thereto, said storage unit being filled with an applied substance. Said storage unit is separated from environment with the aid of an insulating membrane (3) which is fixed to the substrate outside a volume occupied by the storage unit and arranged on the opposite side with respect to the substrate in such a way that it is open prior to the use of the device in order to bring it into a working position. The surface of the storage unit, which is external with respect to the substrate, is used as a means for applying the substance contained inside the storage unit. The substrate, a storage unit and insulating membrane can be embodied in a single-layer or multi-layer form, different layers can have different shapes and sizes. The substrate and the insulating membrane can be constructed from separate pieces or from an integral piece of material. The device can be provided or not provided with a structural element in the form of a holder (4) which restrains it during the use thereof. Said holder can be formed from the substrate, embodied in the form of an element of the substrate or prefabricated and fixed to the external side of the substrate. The substrate and the insulating membrane can be hermetically fixed to each other, thereby making it possible to arranged the storage unit inside a hermetically closed volume and to use volatile and unstable substances in the form of applied substances.
