Abstract:
A bearing member (8) (sintered bearing) is made of a porous sintered material, is provided with a radial bearing surface (8a1) that forms a radial bearing gap with the cylindrical surface (2a1) of a shaft member (2) to be supported, has, in the radial bearing surface (8a1), a plurality of dynamic pressure grooves (G1, G2) and hill parts (H) that are formed between the respective dynamic pressure grooves (G1, G2) and that are raised inward in the axial radial direction with respect to the groove bottom surfaces (G1a, G2a) of the dynamic pressure grooves (G1, G2), and supports the shaft member (2) in a non-contact manner by means of pressure generated by the dynamic pressure action of lubricating oil which fills the radial bearing gap. Surface hole-area rates of the groove bottom surfaces (G1a, G2a) of the dynamic pressure grooves (G1, G2) are larger than the surface hole-area rate of the hill parts (H).
