Title:
SINTERED BODY FOR FORMING RARE EARTH MAGNET, AND RARE EARTH SINTERED MAGNET
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/022684
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A novel, hitherto unseen rare earth sintered magnet which has both remarkably low carbon content and an extremely small average particle diameter of magnet material particles, and a sintered body for forming such a magnet, are provided. This sintered body for forming a rare earth magnet is configured by sintering into a single body a plurality of magnet material particles containing a rare earth material and each having an easy magnetization axis. This sintered body for forming a rare earth magnet has a carbon content of less than or equal to 500 ppm, and moreover, the average particle diameter of the magnetic material particles is less than or equal to 2 μm.
