Abstract:
The present invention provides: a sizing agent which exhibits excellent stability at high temperatures even at a high concentration; a reinforcing fiber strand which uses this sizing agent; and a fiber-reinforced composite material. The present invention provides a sizing agent for reinforcing fibers, the sizing agent containing a compound (A) and a compound (B) that is represented by general formula (1), wherein: the compound (A) contains at least one compound which is selected from among an aromatic polyester resin (A1) and a compound (A2) that has an ethylenically unsaturated group; the aromatic polyester resin (A1) contains, as constituent units, constituent units (I) and (II); the ethylenically unsaturated group is at least one group that is selected from among a vinyl ester group, an acrylate group and a methacrylate group; and the proportion by weight of the compound (A) in the nonvolatile content of the sizing agent for reinforcing fibers is 10% by weight or more.
