Abstract:

[PROBLEMS] To provide a hydrophilized porous membrane useful as a separation membrane to be used for producing a useful substance by removing from a liquid containing a useful substance typified by a biologically active substance and an unnecessary substance typified by a pathogenic substance, the unnecessary substance, a process for producing the same and a method of using the same. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A skinless porous membrane which is a porous membrane obtained by melt film formation comprising compositions containing at least a polymer and a plasticizer and having at least two different high and low polymer concentrations laminated such that layers made of a composition with a low polymer concentration are located on both sides of a layer with a high polymer concentration, characterized in that a pore size in the central region in the membrane thickness direction of the layer made of a composition with a high polymer concentration is larger than that in the peripheral region.
