Provided is a skiving cutter that is conducive to easily identifying and properly assembling a plurality of cutter components.　A skiving cutter 10 that is segmented into a plurality of cutter components 101–103 that each comprise a base 111–113 and a blade segment 21–23. Identification openings 31–33 that are different sizes and/or are in different locations from each other are formed in at least two of the plurality of cutter components 101–103.
