Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a skiving cutter capable of having a longer life. A skiving cutter 10 is provided with a plurality of cutting blades 20 that cut a workpiece 9 by being rotated around an axis. Each cutting blade 20 includes at least a segmented cutting edge 21 and a segmented cutting edge 23 configured to share a cutting process for cutting the workpiece 9. The segmented cutting edge 21 is formed from a first material, and the segmented cutting edge 23 is formed from a second material different from the first material. The segmented cutting edge 21 is, for example, a rough blade for cutting while leaving a grinding allowance, and the segmented cutting edge 23 is, for example, a finishing blade for finishing the shape of the workpiece 9.
