Abstract:
The purpose of the invention is to provide a skiving cutter and a skiving device which are mainly for external gear machining and enable the achievement of both precision machining and long life. A skiving cutter 10 is equipped with a base 11 and a plurality of cutting blades 20 that stand up from the base 11. The cutting blades 20 comprise segmentation blades 21 to 23 that are constituted so that the cutting process can be divided thereamong. Each of the plurality of segmentation blades 21 to 23 is given a distance between the axis A of the cutter 10 and the portion (outer ends 21I, 23I, 23I) of the segmentation blade 21 to 23 farthest from the axis A. The distance related to a front segmentation blade with an earlier cutting order in the cutting process is equal to or greater than the distance related to a rear segmentation blade with a relatively later cutting order. In addition, the plurality of segmentation blades include a segmentation blade with inverted cutting order, in which the distance related to the front segmentation blade is greater than the distance related to the rear segmentation blade.
