A slat member (3s) provided with a solar cell is provided with a tabular slat body (31), a tabular solar cell unit (32) fixed to the tabular slat body (31), and a connection box (33). The tabular slat body (31) has a first surface (31f), a second surface (31s) opposite the first surface (31f), and a first side surface (31t), and has a longitudinal direction extending along a first direction extending along the first surface (31f). The tabular solar cell unit (32) has a third surface (32s) located on the first surface (31f) side, a fourth surface (32f) opposite the third surface (32s), and a second side surface (32t) connecting the third surface (32s) and the fourth surface (32f), and has a longitudinal direction extending along the first direction. The connection box (33) has a conductor section (33m), a casing (33b), and a wiring cable (33c). A wiring material, which is connected to an electrode of the tabular solar cell unit (32), is connected at the conductor section (33m). The casing (33b) houses the conductor section (33m), and is located along at least one side surface out of the first side surface (31t) and the second side surface (32t). The wiring cable (33c) is electrically connected to the conductor section (33m), and protrudes to the outside of the casing (33b) from the inside of the casing (33b).
