Abstract:
A slide door opening/closing device, wherein a slide guide mechanism limiting the movement of two door panels in a sliding direction by a rail and a running body running on the rail is installed on a slide door in which the two slide panels disposed in the vertical direction are selectively opened/closed by sliding operation, two slide panels are extended on a same plane when the door panels are closed, and one door panel is overlapped with the other one when they are opened. The device comprises a slide assisting mechanism developing a resistance force when the door panels are lowered by the sliding operation, and develops an assisting force when the door panels are raised by the sliding operation. Since weight loads applied to the door panels are controlled by the slide assisting mechanism, the sliding operation does not become heavy by the weight loads applied to the door panels and the door panels do not fall rapidly. As a result, the door panels disposed in the vertical direction can be stably operated by the sliding operation.
