Abstract:
Provided is a sliding component that can stably reduce the frictional resistance of a sliding surface that accompanies eccentric rotation. This sliding component 7 forms a ring shape in which high-pressure and low-pressure fluids face the inside and outside, and has a sliding surface 7a that slides relatively along with eccentric rotation. The sliding surface 7a is provided with, along the circumferential direction thereof, a plurality of high-pressure grooves that open into a space 50 where a high-pressure fluid is present, and a plurality of low-pressure grooves 72 that open into a space 20 where a low-pressure fluid is present.
