Abstract:
Provided is a sliding component in which sliding surfaces can smoothly slide against each other from a low-speed state to a high-speed state, regardless of whether the relative rotation direction is the forward rotation direction or the reverse rotation direction. The sliding component has deep grooves 17 that section the component into a fluid-side region A1 in which fluid-side grooves 13 and fluid-side reverse grooves 14 are provided, and leak-side regions A2 in which leak-side grooves 15a-15c and leak-side reverse grooves 16a-16c are provided.
