Description:
SLIP-PROOF SHEET AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME Technical Field The present invention relates to a slip-proof sheet and a method of manufacturing the same.

Background Art Facilities such as a home, an educational facility, a medical facility, and an amusement facility include a slip-proof means at a slippery place to protect children, the old and the weak from be slipped.

A conventional slip-proof means includes a frictional layer of a sheet shaped sticker or a sheet shaped tape which induces a frictional resistance. Korean Patent Publication no. 98-8552 discloses a method of manufacturing the conventional slip-proof means.

The method of manufacturing the conventional slip-proof mean including a frictional layer adhered to a top surface of a base film by a bonding agent, an adhesive layer formed on a bottom surface of the base film, and a releasing paper adhered to the adhesive layer, includes forming a photoresist layer by coating a photosensitizer of a natural color on the frictional layer; irradiating light to the photoresist layer through a film having a multicolor pattern; forming a multicolor pattern of the film on the frictional layer by developing the photoresist layer subject to light exposure; and forming a coating layer by coating a transparent paint on the frictional layer.

Also, the method of manufacturing the conventional slip-proof means including a frictional layer adhered to a top surface of a base film by a bonding agent, an adhesive layer formed on a bottom surface of the base film, and a releasing paper adhered to the adhesive layer, includes placing a copy printing paper having a multicolor pattern printed thereon on a surface of the frictional layer; and copying the multicolor pattern of the copy printing paper on the frictional layer.

Further, the method of manufacturing the conventional slip-proof means including a frictional layer adhered to a top surface of a base film by a bonding agent, an adhesive

layer formed on a bottom surface of the base film, and a releasing paper adhered to the adhesive layer, includes forming a predetermined pattern on a surface of the frictional layer using a luminous ink ; and forming a coating layer by coating a transparent paint.

However, the conventional slip-proof means has the following disadvantages.

First, in the case that the multicolor pattern is formed by a photolithography technique or a copy printing technique, when the slip-proof means is used for a long time, the multicolor pattern can come off due to a friction to a foot bottom or a shoe bottom. In addition, since the multicolor pattern is formed on a rough surface of the frictional layer, a visibility of the multicolor pattern is not good.

Also, in the case that the multicolor pattern is formed using the luminous ink, when the slip-proof means is used for a long time, the multicolor pattern can come off due to a friction to a foot bottom or a shoe bottom.

Disclosure of Invention To overcome the problems described above, preferred embodiments of the present invention provide a slip-proof sheet which can prevent a multicolor pattern from coming off and has a good visibility.

In order to achieve the above object, the preferred embodiments of the present invention provide a slip-proof sheet, comprising: a base film having a multicolor pattern formed on an either surface thereof; a releasing paper removably attached to a bottom surface of the base film; a frictional layer adhered to a top surface of the base film; and a protection layer formed on the frictional layer.

A fluorescent pigment is applied on the multicolor pattern. The multicolor pattern is displayed in a hologram form. The base film is made of polyethylene. The releasing paper is attached to the bottom surface of the base film by using an adhesive.

The present invention further provides a method of manufacturing a slip-proof sheet, comprising: forming a multicolor pattern on an either surface of a base film; applying an adhesive on a bottom surface of the base film; attaching removably a releasing paper to the bottom surface of the base film; adhering a frictional layer on a top surface of the base film; and forming a protection layer on the frictional layer.

Brief Description of Drawings For a more complete understanding of the present invention and the advantages thereof, reference is now made to the following descriptions taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which like reference numerals denote like parts, and in which: FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view illustrating the slip-proof sheet according to the present invention; FIG. 2 is a flow chart illustrating a process of manufacturing a slip-proof sheet according to the present invention; and FIGs. 3A to 3C are perspective views illustrating a process of manufacturing the slip-proof sheet according to the present invention.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention Reference will now be made in detail to preferred embodiments of the present invention, example of which is illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view illustrating the slip-proof sheet according to the present invention.

The slip-proof sheet includes a base film 10, a releasing paper 20, a frictional layer 30, and a protection layer 40. The base film 10 has a multicolor pattern 10a formed on a bottom surface thereof. The releasing paper 20 is removably adhered to a bottom surface of the base film 10 by an adhesive 11. The frictional layer 30 is adhered to a top surface of the base film 10 by an adhesive 12. The frictional layer 30 includes grains which induce a friction by a contact. The protection layer 40 is formed on the frictional layer 30 to externally protect the frictional layer 30. The grains of the frictional layer 30 are arranged at an interval sufficient for the multicolor pattern 10a to be clearly shown through the base film 10 and the frictional layer 30.

The layers of the slip-proof sheet is made of a transparent material. A fluorescent pigment can be applied on the multicolor pattern 10a. The multicolor pattern 10a is displayed in a hologram form. The base film 10 is preferably made of polyethylene.

A process of manufacturing the slip-proof sheet of FIG. 1 is described below in

detail.

FIG. 2 is a flow chart illustrating a process of manufacturing a slip-proof sheet according to the present invention. FIGs. 3A to 3C are perspective views illustrating a process of manufacturing the slip-proof sheet according to the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 3A, the multicolor pattern 10a is formed on one surface of the base film 10 (step S210). The multicolor pattern 10a is formed by a predetermined printing technique.

Here, a fluorescent pigment can be applied on either surface of the multicolor pattern 10a to form a fluorescent pattern (step S212).

Subsequently, the adhesive 11 is applied on one surface of the base film 10 on which the multicolor pattern 10a is formed. The releasing paper 20 is adhered to the base film 10 as shown in FIG. 3B (step S212). When the releasing paper 20 is separated from the base film 10, the slip-proof sheet can be attached on a slippery place by an adhesive strength of the adhesive 11 remaining on the base film 10.

Referring to FIG. 3C, the adhesive 12 is applied on the other surface of the base film 10, and the frictional layer 30 is adhered (step S214).

Next, a transparent paint is applied on the frictional layer 30 to form the protection layer 40 so as to externally protect the frictional layer 30 (step S216). The protection layer 40 also serves to prevent the frictional layer 30 from being worn away due to a friction resistance.

Here, the releasing paper 20 can be attached after the frictional layer 30 is formed.

Even though not shown, a process of forming the multicolor pattern 10a to be shown in a hologram form can be added. Alternatively, a film to make the multicolor pattern 10a shown in hologram form can be attached on either surface of the base film 10.

Industrial Applicability As described herein before, the inventive slip-proof sheet has the following advantages.

Since the multicolor pattern 10a is not formed on the frictional layer, even though used for a long time, it is possible to prevent the multicolor pattern from coming off. Also,

since the multicolor pattern 10a is not on a rough surface of the frictional layer, even though used for a long time, a visibility of the slip-proof sheet can be improved. Therefore, the slip-proof sheet having a good quality can be achieved.

While the invention has been particularly shown and described with reference to preferred embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that the foregoing and other changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
