Abstract:
Provided is a slot die coater having uniform coating fluid flow without stagnation. The slot die coater of the present invention comprises: at least two die blocks; a shim plate provided between the two die blocks and forming a slot; and a manifold which is provided in the die blocks and communicates with the slot, and which is in the form of a recessed chamber for accommodating a coating fluid, wherein the slot die coater discharges the coating fluid onto a substrate through a discharge port communicating with the slot, thereby coating the substrate with the coating fluid. The area of the die blocks, from the front end of the manifold to a die lip which is the front end portion of the die blocks, is a land, and the ratio (A/B) of the length (A) of the land to the length (B) of the manifold is in the range of 0.5 to 3.55.
