Description:
SLUDC-E PUMP THAT IS USED TO GENERAL

Technical Field

The present invention relates, in general, to a sludge pump for cutting off sludge and foreign substances to discharge the sludge and foreign substances, and more particularly, to the sludge pump for discharging not only the sludge but also liquid.

Background Art

Several pumps for discharging liquid have been developed. However, since it is difficult to discharge the sludge using a general pump due to the property of the sludge and the sludge contains various foreign substances, when a pump for discharging liquid and sludge suctions and discharges the sludge as it is, it causes that an impeller is broken down or damages so that the pumping performance of the pump cannot be carried out, and as a result, the pump is out of order .

In other words, although a conventional sludge pump includes a filter installed in an inlet port to prevent the foreign substances from entering the foreign substances damaging the impeller enter the conventional sludge pump.

Meanwhile, in case of using a rotary pump without the

impeller, the foreign substances can not help giving damages to a cylinder and a rotator while passing through the cylinder and the rotator and reduce the compression power of the rotary pump so that the conventional rotary pump cannot perform as a pump.

Particularly, when the sludge is discharged by the conventional rotary pump, the damage caused by the foreign substances together with the sludge containing the same is inevitable. This is because the foreign substances are interposed between the cylinder and the rotator. Due to this problem, there is a limit to use the rotary pump for the purpose of discharging the sludge.

Disclosure of the Invention

Accordingly, the present invention has been made keeping in mind the above problems occurring in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a rotary pump for discharging sludge which is suitable to cut off the sludge and foreign substances into small pieces such that the rotary pump works well by which it is possible to solve the problems of the above-described conventional sludge pump and that has additional advantages .

In order to accomplish the above objects, according to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a

sludge pump including a main shaft installed in the center of a cylinder having a circular inside and an inlet port and an outlet port formed therein, two blades coupled with the main shaft such that the leading edges of the blades contact the inner wall of the cylinder, an eccentric rotator installed in the cylinder such that the blades penetrate a rotator and contact the inner wall of the cylinder so that the blades rotate to rotate the rotator during the rotation of the main shaft to compress the liquid through the inlet port and to discharge the compressed liquid through the outlet port.

Advantageous Effects

As described above, the sludge pump of the present invention is structured such that the blades coupled with the main shaft are rotated within the cylinder having an inlet port and outlet port and is coupled with and slides on the eccentric rotator to rotate the main shaft to discharge liquid. The sludge pump can pump not only liquid but also the sludge while cutting off the foreign substances contained in the sludge.

Moreover, cutting knives are formed in the leading edges of the blades and the fixed cutting knives are formed in the inlet port and the outlet port such that the foreign substances which is introduced into the sludge pump together

with the sludge are cut off by the cutting knives and the fixed cutting knives so that the sludge can be easily discharged.

According to the sludge pump of the present invention, the cutting knives and the fixed cutting knives are conveniently replaced so that the knives can be easily replaced.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention

The present invention, as shown in FIG. 1, relates to a sludge pump (100) for suctioning and compressing liquid containing sludge through an inlet port (101_ using driving force of a motor (M) and for discharging the compressed liquid through an outlet port (102) such that a driving shaft of the motor (M) is coupled with a main shaft (110) of the sludge pump (100) to rotate the main shaft (110) due to the rotational force of the motor (M) .

The sludge pump (100) according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 2 to 6, includes the main shaft (110) installed in the center of a cylinder (120) having a circular inside and the inlet port 101 (and) the outlet port (102) formed therein, two blades (130) and (140) coupled with the main shaft (110) such that the leading edges of the blades (130) and (140) contact the inner wall of the cylinder (120) , an eccentric

rotator (150) installed in the cylinder (120) such that the blades (130) and (140) penetrate the rotator (150) and contact the inner wall of the cylinder (120) so that the blades (130) and (140) make the rotator (150) rotate during the rotation of the main shaft 110 to compress the liquid through the inlet port (101) and to discharge the compressed liquid through the outlet port (102).

The sludge pump (100) according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention includes exchangeable cutting knives (131) formed in the blades (130) and (140) and exchangeable fixed cutting knives (160) formed in the inlet port (101) and the outlet port (102) of the cylinder (120) such that the foreign substances are cut off by the cutting knives (131) and the fixed cutting knives (160) to normally perform as the sludge pump (100) when the liquid such as the sludge is introduced into the sludge pump (100) .

The main shaft (110) is formed with coupling recesses (111), the fixed blade (130) and the movable blade (140) are fitted around the main shaft (110), a coupler (132) of the fixed blade (130) is formed with coupling protrusions (133) inserted into the coupling recesses (111) of the main shaft (110) such that the fixed blade (130) rotates with the main shaft (110), and a coupler (142) of the movable blade (140) is rotatably coupled with the main shaft (110) . The fixed blade (130) and the movable blade (140) are

respectively inserted into blade-supporting rods (152) and

(153) to penetrate the same, the blade-supporting rods

(152) and (153) are coupled with the rotator (150) and fixed by a rotator cover (151) , the rotator has an eccentric center and is installed in the cylinder (120), and the main shaft (110) penetrates and is installed inside of the rotator (150) .

The cylinder (120) has the inlet port (101) and the outlet port (102), the fixed cutting knives (160) are installed in the inlet port (101) and the outlet port (102) of the cylinder (120) and are fixed by a cylinder body (121) so that the fixed cutting knives (160) can be replaced after releasing the cylinder body (121) . The fixed cutting knives (160) have curves with the same curvature as the inner diameter of the cylinder (120) and the leading edges thereof are acute or form a right angle as shown in FIG. 12.

Since the forcibly fed liquid is held in the sides opposite to the sides of the inlet port (101) and the outlet port (102) where the fixed blades (160) are installed when the opposite sides are not horizontal but circular and then the sludge pump stops, the fixed cutting knives (161) are horizontally formed in the opposite sides to cut off the sludge and to generate a back flow. Meanwhile, the fixed blade (130) and the movable blade (140) are integrally formed with the cutting knives

(131) at the leading edges, or as shown in FIG. 10, are structured such that knife fixing devices (135) formed with the cutting knives (131) are inserted into the leading edges and fixed by fixing bolts (136) . When the knife fixing devices (135) are used, the cutting knives (131) are easily replaced when the cutting knives (131) are worn away.

In the sludge pump structured as described above, the rotational force of the motor (M) is transmitted to the main shaft (110) to rotate the main shaft (110) . When the main shaft (110) rotates, the fixed blade (130) whose coupling protrusions (133) are inserted into the coupling recesses (111) of the main shaft (110) rotates, the rotator

(150) rotates due to the rotation of the fixed blade (130) , and simultaneously the movable blade (140) rotates.

Here, the rotator (150) has an eccentric center and is installed in the cylinder (120) , and the fixed blade (130) and the movable blade (140) penetrate the rotator (150) such that the fixed blade (130) and the movable blade (140) are inserted into the blade-supporting rods (152) and (153) coupled with the rotator (150) and the fixed blade (130) and the movable blade (140) inserted into the blade- supporting rods (152) and (153) slide at the state of being inserted into the blade-supporting rods (152) and (153) . Thus, when the main shaft (110) rotates, the fixed blade (130) rotates and then makes the rotator (150)

rotate, and simultaneously the leading edges of the fixed blade (130) and the movable blade (140), inserted into the blade-supporting rods (152) and (153), which are coupled with the rotator (150) at a state of being coupled with the main shaft (110) , closely contact the inner wall of the cylinder (120) and rotate, so that the liquid is suctioned through the inlet port (101) and is discharged out through the outlet port (102) .

At this time, since the movable blade (140) is rotatably coupled with the main shaft (110) but is inserted into the blade-supporting rod (153) of the rotator (150) , it adjusts the angle between the fixed blade (130) and the movable blade (140) continuously varied due to the rotation of the rotator (150) . As such, when the eccentric rotator (150) rotates while the blades (130) and (140) rotate due to the rotation of the main shaft (110), the blades (130) and (140) coupled with and slid on the blade-supporting rods (152) and (153) fixed to the inner wall of the cylinder (120) and the rotator (150) closely contact and the space formed by the close contact varies, so that the liquid suctioned through the inlet port (101) is compressed inside of the cylinder (120) and is discharged out through the outlet port (102) . Thus, the sludge pump of the present invention can pump not only ordinary liquid but also the sludge.

Here, in the inlet port (101), a filter (105) is

installed to prevent foreign substances from entering such that the sludge pump (100) of the present invention works well. Although the filter (105) is installed, since the foreign substances are suctioned to disturb the rotation of the rotator (150) and the blades (130) and (140) when suctioning the sludge, the pumping of the sludge becomes difficult.

Thus, in the present invention, the cutting knives (131) are formed in the leading edges of the blades (130) and (140) and the fixed cutting knives (160) are respectively installed in the inlet port (101) and the outlet port (102) so that the foreign substances entering together with the sludge can be cut off by the cutting knives (131) and the fixed cutting knives (160) during the rotation of the blades (130) and (140) .

When the foreign substances in the sludge are cut off by the cutting knives (131) and the fixed cutting knives (160) , the sludge is easily discharged.

Meanwhile, a part of the upper side of the cylinder (120) contacting the rotator (150) is formed horizontally as shown in FIG. 13 and formed with the fixed cutting knives (161) such that the liquid fed by the blades (130) and (140) flows backward at the horizontal region of the cylinder (120) and is discharged without stagnation. The knife-fixing devices (135) formed with the cutting knives (131) are inserted into the blades (130) and

(140) and are fixed to the blades (130) and (140) by the fixing bolts (136) . That the cutting knives (131) and the fixed cutting knives (160) cut off the foreign substances during the rotation of the blades (130) and (140) is identical to forming cutting knives (131) directly in the blades (130) and (140) . The reason of using the knife- fixing devices (135) is to easily replace the cutting knives (131) when the cutting knives (131) are worn away.

In other words, when the cutting knives (131) are worn away, the knife-fixing devices (135) are replaced by releasing the fixing bolts (136). The cutting knives (131) are exchangeable and the fixing bolts (136) should not protrude to the exterior.

The fixed cutting knives (160), as shown in FIG. 12, may be formed as acute knives or right-angled knives. The fixed cutting knives (160) are fixed to the inlet port (101) and the outlet port (102) by the cylinder body (121), contact the cutting knives (131) of the blades (130) and (140) to cut off the foreign substances, and are exchangeable.

In other words, the cylinder body (121) is released to separate the fixed cutting knives (160) and the exchange of the fixed cutting knives (160) is easily carried out by inserting new fixed cutting knives (160) and fixing the cylinder body (121) when the fixed cutting knives (160) are worn away.

According to the present invention, since the inlet port (101) and the outlet port (102) are formed higher than the sludge pump (100) , the liquid always exists inside of the sludge pump (100) so that the pumping is smoothly carried out due to the negative pressure whenever the main shaft (110) rotates.

Heat generated during the operation of the sludge pump (100) is cooled by water cooling type cooling device or an air cooling type cooling device and the sludge pump (100) of the present invention can be used anywhere the pumping of liquid is required.

Meanwhile, a hydro generator is rotated to generate electricity by a hydro rotator rotated by water power, instead of a water turbine for rotating a pump, an underwater pump, a sludge pump, a water supply, an oil supply, a blower, a liquid rotator, a liquid meter, a gas meter, a compression pump, a vacuum pump, liquid or gas high-pressure pumps, and a hydro generator. Moreover, instead of rotating a generator by a steam turbine, the sludge pump (100) of the present invention can be rotated by water steam to generate the electricity.

While this invention has been particularly shown and described with reference to preferred embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the

invention as defined by the appended claims .
