Abstract:
Provided is a novel class of RNA base editors comprising a fusion protein that comprises a small Class I CRISPR/Cas effector enzyme, such as Cas5, Cas6, and Csf5 and an RNA based editing functional domain. Also provided are polynucleotides encoding the fusion proteins, and method of using the fusion proteins for RNA base editing.
