Abstract:
Provided is a small lens unit that allows various types of devices suited to a required application to be mounted thereon to thereby provide various types of functions other than an imaging function. The small lens unit 10A has: a lens block 12a equipped with a glass cover 16a, a diaphragm, and a lens; and a holder 13a in which a block storage space 30a for storing the lens block 12a is formed. The lens block 12a stored in the block storage space 30a is held by the holder 13a. Device storage spaces 36a – 36d that protrude radially outward from the outer peripheral surface 35 of the lens block 12a and store prescribed devices are formed between the outer peripheral surface 35 of the lens block 12a and the inner peripheral surface 34 of the holder 13a that faces the outer peripheral surface 35 of the lens block 12a.
