Description:
SMART BALL HOLDER SYSTEM

Technical Field

The invention relates to a system consisting of a smart ball that is used in quickly finding the locations of GRP pipelines buried under the ground, generates an electromagnetic field when signaled from the surface and a smart ball holder which enables the smart ball to be fixed on the pipeline.

In particular, the invention relates to a smart ball holder that includes a smart ball housing, a telescopic arm, at least one telescopic arm fixing bolt, and a coupling top fixing apparatus that connects the system to the coupling and fixes its position.

Prior Art

Today, GRP (glass reinforced plastic) pipes used for purposes such as drinking water, utility water and sewerage are buried under the ground. After the assembly process is completed, the pipes are covered, put into service and pressurized water is supplied.

In case of damages or malfunctions that occur after the pipes are buried, the pipes or the coupling may need to be replaced. In this case, it is necessary to know the location of the pipeline. However, in the following years, this problem becomes a problem, and it is difficult to find the location of the pipes. It is very difficult to locate the pipe in case of any malfunction or similar.

The following application is encountered in the literature in terms of the subject matter.

Utility model application TR2018/15624 relates to the next generation of electronic location markers (smart balls). Said utility model relates to a design for the determination of the location of all kinds of infrastructure facilities laid underground with a device developed to ensure that the coil-capacitor (passive sensing system) inside the electronic location markers (smart ball) placed underground/manhole always remains horizontal with respect to the earth. Said design is different in that it does not contain a smart ball holder-like structure found in the inventive system. Therefore, due to the drawbacks described above and the inadequacy of the existing solutions on the subject, it has become necessary to make an improvement in the relevant technical field.

Brief Description of the Invention

The invention relates to a smart ball holder system which fulfills the abovementioned requirements, eliminates all disadvantages, and brings some additional advantages.

The priority aim of the invention is to ensure that the locations of GRP pipelines buried under the ground can be quickly detected by means of smart balls.

Another aim of the invention is to ensure that smart balls are fixed on the pipeline by using smart ball holders.

Another aim of the invention is to provide a quick response to the damaged faults that occur after the pipes are buried.

In order to fulfill the above-described purposes, the invention has a system consisting of a smart ball (1) that is used in quickly finding the locations of GRP pipelines (B) buried under the ground, generates an electromagnetic field when signaled from the surface and a smart ball holder (2) which enables the smart ball (1) to be fixed on the pipeline (B).

The structural and characteristic features of the present invention will be understood clearly by the following drawings and the detailed description made with reference to these drawings and therefore the evaluation shall be made by taking these figures and the detailed description into consideration.

Figures to Help Understanding of the Invention

Detailed Description of the Invention

In this detailed description, the inventive smart ball holder system is described only for clarifying the subject matter in a manner such that no limiting effect is created.

Smart balls are equipment used to mark the location of non-metallic materials, and an electromagnetic field is created when a signal is given.

The invention is a system consisting of a smart ball (1) that is used in quickly finding the locations of GRP (glass reinforced plastic) pipelines (B) buried under the ground, generates an electromagnetic field when signaled from the surface and a smart ball holder (2) which enables the smart ball (1) to be fixed on the pipeline (B).

The inventive smart ball holder (2) comprises of the following; a smart ball housing (3) that protects the smart ball (1 ) against external influences, a telescopic arm (4) that allows the distance of the smart ball (1) to the surface to be adjusted, at least one telescopic arm fixing bolt (5) that enables the telescopic arm (4) to be fixed at the desired height and a coupling-top fixing apparatus (6) that connects the system to the coupling (K) and fixes its position.

The operating principle and application of the inventive system are as follows: Smart balls (1) will be placed just above the sleeves used in the junction of the pipes (B) during the burial of the pipe (B). However, the balls must be at a maximum depth of 1.5 meters so as to be detected. In this direction, ball holders (2) will be used to ensure that smart balls are kept at a maximum depth of one and a half meters from the ground surface. In the laid GRP pipeline (B), the smart ball holder (2) is fixed on the coupling (K) with the help of the coupling top fixing apparatus (6). The telescopic arm (4) is adjusted so that the distance of the smart ball holder (2) to the surface is 1 .5 meters or less, and the telescopic arm is fixed by tightening the fixing bolts (5). After fixing, the smart ball (1 ) is placed inside the smart ball housing (3). Then the line is covered with soil.

In cases where the soil is compacted, the ball (1 ) is placed on the material, etc., it is thought that the ball (1) will fall deeper, and it will be difficult to detect it in the future. For this reason, it is ensured that the ball (1 ) is kept at a maximum depth of 1.5 meters from the ground surface using smart ball holders (2), fixing the smart ball (1 ) on the coupling (K) and, depending on the burial depth of the pipe (B), by means of the telescopic arm (4) if necessary.
