Abstract:
The present invention relates to a smart belt and a control method thereof. A belt device according to the present invention comprises: a strap part on which a plurality of magnet patterns are formed; a first sensor part for sensing one of the plurality of magnet patterns in a state where the strap part is fixed to a buckle part; and a control part for measuring a waist circumference length of a user corresponding to the magnet pattern sensed by the first sensor part. The belt device may further comprise: a clip part connecting the strap part and the buckle part; and a second sensor part for measuring tension applied to the clip part in a state where the strap part is fixed to the buckle part. The control part can correct the waist circumference length by using a waist circumference correction value corresponding to the measured tension.
