A smart container, an automatic vending machine, and a tallying method thereof, relating to the technical field of automatic tallying and vending apparatuses. The smart container comprises a container body (10), a goods pushing mechanism, and a tallying mechanism; a goods channel (11) is arranged inside the container body (10); the goods pushing mechanism comprises a pushing plate (30) and a drive apparatus, the pushing plate (30) being slidably arranged on the goods channel (11); the tallying mechanism comprising a rotating wheel (44), a control unit, and an angle sensor (45); the rotating wheel (44) is rotatably arranged on the container body (10), the rotating wheel (44) being connected to the pushing plate (30) and rotating with the movement of the pushing plate (30); and the angle sensor (45) is connected to the rotating wheel (44) and is configured to measure the angle of rotation of the rotating wheel (44). The present smart container has a simple structure and is convenient to use, and can sense position information of the pushing plate (30) and the relative movement distance of the pushing plate (30) by means of the angle sensor (45); by combining a preset goods unit size, the control unit can calculate the amount of goods currently in the goods channel and the number of goods sold.
