The present invention may provide a smart electronic scoring system for Taekwondo using an inertial sensor, comprising: a blow recognition unit including a blow detection sensor module installed in an electronic protector worn by a Taekwondo player to detect whether a blow is struck during Taekwondo sparring; a motion recognition unit including an inertial sensor module attached to the body of the Taekwondo player to detect the motion of the Taekwondo player during a match; and a control unit that determines whether an effective blow is struck to a hit player through a sensor value received from the blow detection sensor module, analyzes the motion type of an attacking player through the sensor value received from the inertial sensor module, and reflecting the attacking player's effective blow and the type of Taekwondo attack motion in the score during the smart scoring of Taekwondo. According to the above, the present invention may achieve the effects of securing fairness in matches and enhancing the interest and competitiveness of watching Taekwondo matches by determining the type of a player's motion and applying same to the scoring so as to exclude scoring by anomalous techniques such as anomalous kicks.
