Abstract:
The present invention relates to a smart electrosurgical instrument with tumor tracking, which can simultaneously perform the tracking and removal of a tumor and the identification and removal of a residual cancer in real time, the electrosurgical instrument comprising: an electrosurgical unit for generating electrical discharge or high heat so as to cut out a tumor and stop the bleeding from the excised site; and a gamma probe unit for tracking a tumor by detecting gamma rays radiated from the tumor, the gamma probe unit being formed integrally with the electrosurgical unit. Therefore, the smart electrosurgical instrument can perform an operation such as resection while simultaneously tracking a tumor in real time, improve the accuracy and speed of tumor tracking during the operation, and reduce the time required for the operation and anesthesia.
