Title:
SMART FLAG
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/275903
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Smart Flag, with rechargeable and removable battery inside the pole. The flag is removable and interchangeable from the pole and it lights up by pressing a switch located at the base in the handle. A variant consists in a foldable roll-up display, so the colors and graphics representations therein can be changed by selecting them through an app installed on its OS located in the internal storage.

13) Smart flag on one side of which (generally on the left, looking at the same in order to correctly display the image and / or the sequence of colors reproduced there or that you want to reproduce, but also for example on the upper side) a guide which, inserted from the top into the special slot located in the upper part of the flag pole and made to slide along its entire length, comes into contact with the electrical circuit, allowing the supply of light sources (or of the display ) and therefore the lighting of the entire flag.

Description:
Description of the invention entitled: “Smart Flag'

At present, portable flags are known as made of fabric or plastic film, not luminous and therefore not able to be visible to the dark and / or from a long. At present, even the warning or danger light signals are known only in rigid form and not able to wave.

At present, the known flag’s colors and images reported by them are static and they cannot change over the time.

The up to date flags can be supported and waved by simple poles, generally in plastic, PVC or wood, which do not have any further specific elements either outside or inside them and they cannot be connected to external electronics hardware, neither by cables nor with wireless.

The new invention of Smart Flag is aimed at making the colors and images represented on it visible in the dark and / or at a long distance.

The Smart Flag can be used in different scenarios and for different purposes, such as: sporting events and competitions for support and fans; public or private events for celebratory or commemorative purposes; theatrical, circus or artistic performances for entertainment and show purposes; commercial establishments for advertising purposes; open or closed spaces for signaling purposes in general (directional, road, nautical, danger, etc.). The Smart Flag is made up of a straight and smooth pole that can be made of different materials, such as plastic, rubber, PVC, carbon fiber, etc.

The pole is empty inside, thicker near the bottom (handle) and gradually thinner and more flexible towards the top.

Inside the pole, in the lower part (handle), there is a removable battery - rechargeable by traditional wall charger - and, possibly, a removable digital image support that can be connected via cable and / or wireless to one or more external electronic devices, such as PCs, smartphones, tablets, etc.

On the external side of the pole, at the height of the handle, there is a pressure switch (button) able to activate or deactivate the passage of the electricity. From the battery, throughout an internal electrical circuit, the electricity reaches the top of the pole.

The pole has a vertical lateral slot, from the top towards the handle. It is placed near the electrical circuit described above, in which a removable and interchangeable Luminous Flag can be attached on or it can unroll from.

The flag - generally rectangular in shape but also square or triangular - can be made with different highly flexible materials ( able to wave in the presence of wind or if it waved manually) and able to become uniformly luminescent, fluorescent or phosphorescent ( fabrics, light guide films in PMMA, graphene sheets, electrically controlled films, etc.), on which micro electric circuits, LEDs, LECs, etc. can also be allocated. The paints or materials used for the colors of the Flag are highly luminescent and any images and symbols shown on the Flag can be of any shape and made with different techniques (sewing, printing, painting, etc.).

On the edges of the flag and where necessary on the surface, micro supports can be applied capable of containing LEDs, LECs or other micro-elements, which can be distributed in the quantity and in the most suitable way to illuminate the entire surface of the Flag and to enhance the colors and images reproduced therein.

The mentioned flag can also consist of a real display (for example OLED technologies, OLEC, recent discovery, etc ...), which can be folded and rolled up, on which different colors and images (different flags , colors, drawings, writings, symbols, etc.) previously stored on the removable media (HDD, SD Card or similar) contained inside the flag pole or transmitted by an external device and manageable through a specific application (software) , wired or wireless.

On the entire length of one side of the flag (generally on the left side, looking at it in order to correctly display the image and / or the sequence of colors reproduced there or that you want to reproduce, but also for example on the upper side) there is a an electrical connection meant to be slided into the pole vortical slot and being now in contact with the electrical circuit, allowing the power supply of the light sources (or the display ) and therefore the lighting of the entire flag.
