Abstract:
The present invention relates to a smartphone case comprising: an upper cover configured such that a smartphone is mounted on the front surface thereof; a lower cover, the upper end of which is connected to the lower end of the upper cover such that same is coupled to be able to pivot with regard to the upper cover, thereby covering the smartphone mounted on the front surface of the upper cover; and a locking device installed on one of the upper and lower covers such that, if the lower cover pivots with regard to the upper cover and thus is disposed side by side with the upper cover in the upward/downward direction, the locking device straddles the other of the upper and lower covers according to the user's manipulation, thereby acting to prevent the lower cover from pivoting with regard to the upper cover. As such, the lower cover is pivoted to stand side by side with the upper cover and is then retained with the locking device such that, if the lower cover is held with a hand, the height of the smartphone mounted on the upper cover can be substantially increased. As a result, the user can watch same closer to his/her eyes, thereby preventing a herniated cervical disc.
