Title:
SMOKE DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/061968
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In the present invention, a smoke detector is equipped with a smoke detection chamber for inhibiting the penetration of external light while allowing smoke to enter and exit, a light emission unit for irradiating light in each of a plurality of detection areas inside the smoke detection chamber, a light reception unit able to receive scattered light from smoke which has flowed into each of the detection areas without direct light from the light emitting unit being incident, and a determination unit for determining the presence or absence of smoke based upon output from the light reception unit when illuminated only by the light emission unit. Each of the light emission units is provided integrally with a light limitation member for limiting the irradiation range of the irradiating light so that the detection areas do not overlap, and the light reception unit is provided integrally with a light limitation member for limiting the light reception range of the receiving light so that the detection areas do not overlap.
