Abstract:
A discharge circuit (40) discharges a smoothing capacitor (31) for smoothing a DC voltage. The discharge circuit comprises resistance elements (41) connected to the smoothing capacitor in parallel, a transistor (42) connected to the resistance elements in series, and adjustment circuits (44, 45, 46) that adjust a voltage to be applied to the gate terminal of the transistor to set the transistor to a half-on state for a predetermined period and then to a full-on state when the smoothing capacitor is discharged through the resistance elements and the transistor.
