Abstract:
This invention relates to soccer shoes, and the soccer shoe according to this invention has the protuberances in the outer part of the sole formed to be higher and thicker than the protuberances in the inner part of the sole. Thus, the running acceleration, which occurs in the outside direction when a player changes his course rapidly during his dribbling, is reduced. As a result, it enables the player to keep his posture to be stable so that it may prevent a wound in his ankle. Also, by cutting off some of the bottom face of the heel protuberances in the sole in the rear direction at a given slope, this Invention provides a soccer shoe manufactured so that it may enable the player to step back with his balance kept more naturally.

Claims:
What is claimed is :
1. A soccer shoe is characterized by comprising a sole, a plural number of protuberances formed protuberantly in the said sole, an upper leather combined with the said sole by sewing so that a space for housing a foot may be formed over the sole, and a string combined with the through holes formed in the upper part of the upper leather at given intervals, wherein the protuberances (34) formed in the outer part of the said sole (30) are formed to be higher than the protuberances (36) formed in the inner part of the said sole (30).

According to Claim 1, a soccer shoe is characterized by it that the angle (g) between the line () drawn horizontally along the bottom face of the said outer protuberance (34) and the line (') linking the inner edge of the bottom face of the outer protuberance with the respective inner edges of the bottom faces of the inner protuberances (36) is formed in the range of 3° to 25°.
3. According to Claim 1, a soccer shoe is characterized by it that the said outer protuberance (34) is formed to be thicker than the inner protuberance (36) in the said sole (30) by 530%.
4. According to any of Claim 1 to 3, a soccer shoe is characterized by it that some of the bottom face of the protuberances (38) formed in the heel region of the sole is cut off the bottom face thereof from the center line thereof in the rear direction toward the sole at a given slope (@') between the line (m) in contact with the said bottom face and the line (m') in contact with the cut face in the range of 5° to 30°.
Description:
SOCCER SHOES Technical Field This invention relates to soccer shoes, and particularly, to soccer shoes having protuberances formed on the sole of a soccer shoe (herein a shoe in the singular also means a pair of shoes) at given intervals so that the running acceleration, which occurs in the outside direction when a player changes his course rapidly during his dribbling, may be reduced.

Background Art Soccer shoes usually and widely used include the soccer shoes described in Notice No. 92-572 under the Korean Utility Model Publication No. 1542. The soccer shoe (1) disclosed in the said publication has the front part of its shape covered with the upper leather (2), and further two large and small reinforcing inner coats (3, 3') attached on both front insides of the shoe by sewing upto the line just before the center line of the front part of the shoe so that they may get to be gradually thicker as they go lower in the form of twofold layers.

And, the sole of the shoe has 6 protuberances (4) formed in bilateral symmetry along the front circumferential part thereof, 4 protuberances (4) formed in bilateral symmetry along the rear circumferential part thereof, and further a small protuberance (4') of which the height is lower than the said protuberances (4) formed in the forefront center.

Since such conventional soccer shoe has the whole front part of its shape covered with the upper leather (2) and further two reinforcing inner coats (3, 3') additionally attached on both front insides of the shoe in the form of twofold layers,

the structure of both sides of the front part (to be in contact with the ball when the ball is kicked.) gets to be of slower curvature, and also, such both sides get to be protruded in the outside direction in inclination. Thereby, the soccer shoe gets to have a wider area to be in contact with the ball when a player shoots the ball.

Thereby, the soccer shoe enables a player to shoot the ball more powerfully and precisely. In addition, the soccer shoe can prevent a player from suffering a wound to the maximum because it protects a little toe region with the thicker layer even though the player's foot is stepped on.

However, since such conventional soccer shoe has the protuberances formed on the sole thereof at given intervals to the same height, it cannot reduce the running acceleration, which occurs in the outside direction when a player changes his course rapidly during his dribbling. So, the player cannot keep his posture to be stable, which result in a problem that the player's body gets to move in the direction of the running acceleration. If the player's body gets to move in the direction of the running acceleration, he gets to run over a target point and his running time gets to be longer. This is another problem. Also, if the running acceleration is too high, there is a problem that the player might suffer a fracture or a sprain in his ankle.

Besides, there is another problem that the player cannot step back naturally, keeping his balance because the protuberances of the heel region get to be an obstacle to backward steps.

Disclosure of Invention This invention is to provide soccer shoes enabling the running acceleration, which occurs in the outside direction when a player changes his course rapidly during his dribbling, to be reduced in consideration of the said problems.

Another objective of this invention is to provide soccer shoes enabling the

player to reach the target point fast even though he changes his course rapidly during his dribbling.

A different objective of this invention is to provide soccer shoes enabling a wound in the player's ankle to be prevented by keeping the player's posture to be stable even though he changes his course rapidly during his dribbling.

A further objective of this invention is to provide soccer shoes enabling the player to step back more easily with soccer shoes on.

In order to accomplish the said objectives, the soccer shoe according to this Invention comprises a sole, an upper leather combined with the said sole by sewing so that a space for housing a foot may be formed over the sole, a string combined with the through holes formed in the upper part of the upper leather at given intervals and a plural number of protuberances formed protuberantly at given intervals on the said sole, wherein the protuberances formed in the outer part of the said sole are formed to be higher and thicker than the protuberances formed in the inner part of the said sole, and the protuberance formed in the heel region of the sole has some of the bottom face thereof cut off in the rear direction at a given slope from the said bottom face, which is a characteristic thereof.

FIG. 3 is a perspective view illustrating the soccer shoe, an embodiment according to this Invention schematically ; FIG. 4 is a perspective view illustrating protuberances formed protuberantly in the sole of the soccer shoe, an embodiment according to this Invention ; FIG. 5 is a bottom view of the sole shown in FIG. 3 ; FIG. 6 is a sectional view taken along the arrow line VI-VI in FIG. 5; and FIG. 7 is a sectional view taken along the arrow line B-B in FIG. 5.

As illustrated in FIG. 3 to FIG. 6, the soccer shoe, an embodiment according to this Invention has the upper leather (32) combined with the sole (30) by sewing so that a space for housing a foot may be formed over the sole, and further a string (33) combined with the through holes (no reference number indicated) formed in the upper part of the upper leather (32) at given intervals so that a player may put on the soccer shoe tightly to his foot.

And the said sole has the outer protuberances (34) formed to be higher than the inner protuberances (36) so that the running acceleration, which occurs in the outside direction when a player changes his course rapidly during his dribbling, may be reduced.

In other words, it is desirable to have an angle (0) between the (t)

drawn horizontally along the bottom face of the said outer protuberance (34) and the line (Q') linking the inner edge of the bottom face of the outer protuberance with the respective inner edges of the bottom faces of the inner protuberances (36) formed in the range of 3'to 25'.

Meanwhile, most of the force borne by the foot of a player during the soccer game is borne by the outer region of the soccer shoe. Thus, considering this phenomenon, it is desirable to have the size of the outer protuberance bearing the said force formed to be larger than the inner protuberance bearing the relatively small force, which has an effect on enhancement of stability of the player's posture and increase of the player's instantaneous responsiveness and further enables the outer protuberance to be worn away relatively at the same degree as the inner protuberance.

It is, therefore, desirable to have the said outer protuberance formed to be thicker than the inner protuberance by 5-30% (not shown in the figures.), as an embodiment according to this Invention.

As illustrated in FIG. 7, in the soccer shoe, an embodiment according to this Invention, the protuberance formed in the heel region of the sole (30), unlike other protuberances, has some of the bottom face thereof cut off in the rear direction at a given slope from the said bottom face, which is a characteristic thereof.

Wherein, the method for cutting off some of the bottom face of the protuberance is to cut off the bottom face thereof from the center line thereof in the rear direction toward the sole at a given slope (0') between the line (m) in contact with the said bottom face and the line (m') in contact with the cut face. It is desirable that such given slope (@') should be in the range of 5° to 30°.

The action and effect of the soccer shoe, an embodiment according to this invention is below described.

In case a player plays soccer with the soccer shoes according to this

invention on, since the outer protuberances (34) are formed to be higher than the inner protuberances (36) in the sole of the soccer shoe, even though the player changes his course rapidly during his dribbling, the center of his weight gets to be borne by the inner part of the soccer shoe, and thereby the running acceleration resulting from the change of his course can be reduced. As a result, the player can reach a target point (where the ball is located) fast, and further the player keeps his posture to be stable even though he changes his course rapidly during dribbling, and thereby, a wound can be prevented from taking place in his ankle.

Also, since some of the bottom face of the heel protuberances is cut off in the rear direction at a given slope, the player can move back by stepping back with his balance kept more naturally.

In addition, since the outer protuberances are formed to be thicker than the inner protuberances by 5-30%, the soccer shoe not only supports effectively the force concentrated on the outer part thereof during a soccer game but also has an effect on preventing the outer protuberances from being worn away faster than other protuberances.

As described above, since the outer protuberances are formed to be higher than the inner protuberances in the sole of the soccer shoe according to this Invention, it can not only reduce the running acceleration occurring in the outside direction even though a player changes his course rapidly during dribbling, but also as a result, make a player reach his wanted target point (where the ball is located) fast after changing his course rapidly during dribbling. Also, since the outer protuberances are formed to be thicker than the inner protuberances in the sole of the soccer shoe according to this Invention, it not only supports effectively the force concentrated on the outer part thereof during a rapid change of the player's course and thereby enables the player to keep his posture to be stable and further to prevent a wound from taking place in his ankle, but also has an effect on

preventing the outer protuberances from being worn away faster other protuberances.

Also, since some of the bottom face of the heel protuberances in the sole of the soccer shoe according to this Invention is cut off in the rear direction at a given slope, it has an excellent effect on enabling the player to step back with his balance kept more naturally.
