Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure include techniques for managing partitions of hardware resources in a computer system. In one embodiment, the present disclosure includes a plurality of processors and a plurality of peripheral devices coupled together over a switch fabric. A host for a partition may include a driver and a registry. An OS and the driver may communicate with the registry. State information stored in the driver and registry may be coordinated to recover from link failures and other path changes in the partition, for example.
