Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a soil release agent which is capable of improving soil removability during washing if an object is treated with this soil release agent; and a soil release composition which contains this soil release agent. A soil release agent which is composed of a modified hydroxyalkyl cellulose that is obtained by bonding a hydroxyalkyl cellulose with a cationic group and one or more groups selected from among hydrophobic groups which contain a hydrocarbon group having 4 or more carbon atoms.
