Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a solar battery which suppresses the adverse effects of water and oxygen in ambient air and has a prolonged lifetime; and a method of manufacturing the same. This solar battery at least includes a first substrate, a first electrode, an organic photoelectric conversion unit, a second electrode, and a second substrate, and is characterized by having a steam barrier layer between the first substrate and the second substrate, and by the steam barrier layer containing an organic metal oxide having a structure represented by general formula (1).
