Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a solar cell capable of achieving both improvement in light use efficiency and improvement in photogenerated carrier recovery efficiency. This solar cell is provided with: a photoelectric conversion part (60) including a semiconductor junction; and a transparent conductive layer (3) provided on a light receiving surface of the photoelectric conversion part and including crystal grains (9) of metal oxide. It is desirable that, after the transparent conductive layer with a film thickness t0 is formed, the film thickness be reduced to t by etching the transparent conductive layer. It is desirable that the film thickness t of the transparent conductive layer be 5-60 nm, and it is desirable that the average crystal grain diameter D of the metal oxide be 35 nm or more. It is desirable that D/t be 1 or more.
