Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a solar cell in which conditions that inhibit improvements in photoelectric conversion efficiency are reduced. [Solution] This solar cell is provided with: a first conductivity type semiconductor substrate (101); a second conductivity type first semiconductor layer (102A) that is formed on the light transmissive surface of the semiconductor substrate (101) and gathers photogenerated carriers based on medium wavelength sunlight; and a second conductivity type second semiconductor layer (102B) that is formed on the light incident surface of the semiconductor substrate (101), gathers photogenerated carriers based on short wavelength sunlight, and also gathers those photogenerated carriers that do not reach the first semiconductor layer (102A) among the photogenerated carriers based on the medium wavelength sunlight.
