Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cooker having steam function and storage capacity of heat comprising a container with heat insulating walls and a releasable lid constituting an upper releasable enclosure of the container. The container further comprises a heat storage material heated by an electric heating element, a heat transfer plate for receiving a cooking vessel, and an upper inner space adapted to accommodate the cooking vessel when the lid is closed. The steam function is obtained by adding water to the heat transfer plate. The cooking apparatus further comprises a pressure release valve adapted to ventilate steam from the inner space of the container if the steam pressure becomes equal to or higher than a pre-set pressure difference value in the range of from 101 to 1010 kPa.
