Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a solid-state battery that prevents deterioration in battery performance more suitably. Provided is a solid-state battery constituted by comprising a solid-state battery laminate including at least one battery constituent unit along a layering direction, the battery constituent unit including a positive electrode layer, a negative electrode layer, and a solid electrolyte layer interposed between the positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer. The solid-state battery comprises external terminals consisting of a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal provided respectively on opposing side surfaces of the solid-state battery laminate. The positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer are each constituted by: a terminal contact part that directly contacts the positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal, respectively; and a terminal non-contact part other than the terminal contact part. In at least one electrode layer of the positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer, the cross-sectional area of the terminal contact part along the opposing side surfaces of the solid-state battery laminate is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the terminal non-contact part along the side surfaces.
