Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to improve readout speed in a solid-state image sensor which reads out a portion of the pixels in a pixel array unit. A predetermined number of columns are arranged in the pixel array unit, each of said columns including multiple pixels. A scanning circuit causes each of the multiple pixels in a selected column selected from among the predetermined number of columns to generate an analog signal. A predetermined number of analog-digital converters associated with different columns from one another are arranged in a signal processing unit. A distribution circuit outputs, for each selected column, any of the analog signals of the selected column to the analog-digital converter associated with the selected column and outputs the remaining analog signals of the selected column to the analog-digital converters associated with the non-selected columns.
