The disclosed solid-state imaging device (100), which minimizes signal charge transfer problems, is provided with: a plurality of photoelectric conversion units (1), a plurality of vertical transfer units (2) that have a plurality of vertical transfer electrodes (11, 14); a plurality of horizontal transfer units (3, 4) that have a plurality of horizontal transfer electrodes (15A to 15C, 18, 19, 20); and an intermediate transfer unit (21) that has a distribution transfer electrode (22). One of a plurality of horizontal transfer electrodes in a first horizontal transfer unit (3) comprises a plurality of column-direction electrodes (15A, 15B) that are adjacent to each other vertically and that transfer signal charge through the intermediate transfer unit (21) to a second horizontal transfer unit (4). The plurality of vertical transfer electrodes (11, 14), the plurality of horizontal transfer electrodes (15A to 15C, 18, 19, 20), and the distribution transfer electrode (22) are all single-layer electrodes.
