Abstract:
[Problem] To execute a subtraction process using a gray code. [Solution] A solid-state imaging element comprises: a counter; a storage circuit; and a transfer circuit. The counter subtracts reset data represented by a gray code and signal data represented by a gray code, by using a complement representation in the gray code for the reset data. The storage circuit holds numerical values obtained through the subtraction process by the counter. The transfer circuit transfers the data represented by the gay code outputted from the storage circuit.
