Abstract:
A polymerization initiator solution which comprises a dilithium polymerization initiator wherein the number of functional groups is 1.8 to 2.0 per molecule on the average and a solvent selected among aliphatic hydrocarbon compounds and alicyclic compounds, and which contains no polar substances. Use of the solution can give a highly symmetric block copolymer having a narrow molecular-weight distribution or a telechelic polymer in which both ends equally have a functional group.
