Abstract:
One purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a solvent which is capable of dissolving a polysaccharide quickly, at a high concentration, and homogeneously, a solution of a polysaccharide in which the polysaccharide is dissolved in the solvent, and a method for producing a molded body of the polysaccharide using the polysaccharide solution. The present disclosure provides a solvent to be used for dissolving a polysaccharide, said solvent containing a tetraalkylammonium salt and/or a tetraalkylphosphonium salt and an aprotic polar solvent. The tetraalkylammonium salt comprises a tetraalkylammonium cation and a carboxylic acid anion, said tetraalkylammonium cation exclusively consisting of one or more alkyl groups RS having 1 or 2 carbon atoms and one or more alkyl groups RL having 3-5 carbon atoms and having 11 or more carbon atoms in total. The tetraalkylphosphonium salt comprises a tetraalkylphosphonium cation and a carboxylic acid anion, said tetraalkylphosphonium cation exclusively consisting of one or more alkyl groups RS having 1 or 2 carbon atoms and an alkyl group RL having 3-5 carbon atoms and having 11 or more carbon atoms in total.
