Abstract:
A pseudo sound signal generating unit generates pseudo engine sound signals on the basis of the traveling information of a vehicle (CR) obtained by means of an acquisition unit. The pseudo engine sound signals are subjected to power amplification and are supplied to a sound outputting device (100A) as sound signals. Vibration actuators (1201, 1202) of the sound outputting device (100A) begin to vibrate in accordance with the supplied sound signals. Then, the side surface of a tubular member (110A) for securing the vibration actuators (120j) (j=1 and 2) vibrates in conjunction with the vibration of the vibration actuators (120j), thereby generating a pseudo engine sound. A portion of the pseudo engine sound thus generated propagates through the inner space of the tubular member (110A) and is outputted from the opening on both ends in the Y-axis direction (vehicle width direction) to the outside of the vehicle (CR). As a result, it is possible to appropriately output, to the outside of the vehicle, the pseudo engine sound which is a vehicle-like sound.
