Abstract:
A sound-processing device has an amplifier, a current-detecting unit, and a control unit. The amplifier amplifies sound signals and drives a speaker. The current-detecting unit detects current flowing in the amplifier. The control unit controls whether or not to supply power to the amplifier on the basis of a current predicted value that corresponds to the volume setting and the level of the sound signals, and on the current detected by the current-detecting unit.
