Abstract:
A source-free calibration method for a smart meter, comprising: generating voltage by a stabilized voltage supply and inputting the voltage to a load having a specified power factor; separately using a standard commercial electricity meter and an electricity meter to be calibrated to measure electricity data of the load; and calculating an error between the electricity meter to be calibrated and the standard commercial electricity meter according to the electricity data as a gain value. Calibrating a metering chip of the electricity meter comprises: parameter setting, comprising mode configuration, channel gain configuration, EMU unit configuration, high frequency pulse output configuration, voltage loss threshold setting, and start threshold setting; A phase correction, comprising power gain correction, voltage correction, and current correction; and B phase correction and C phase correction. Compared with conventional calibration, the source-free calibration method has lower costs, and the current, voltage, and power can meet the requirements of level-2 electricity meters.
