Abstract:
Provided is a space display apparatus (1) for forming an image in an aerial display region (3) and displaying the image as an aerial image (2), wherein: the space display apparatus (1) is provided with a display (20) for displaying the image on a display surface (21), a concave lens (40), and an image-formation optical element (30) that has an element surface (31) and that is disposed between the display surface (21) and the concave lens (40), the image-formation optical element (30) forming the image, which is displayed on the display surface (21), in a virtual region (22) having plane symmetry with the display surface (21) with respect to the element surface (31) if the concave lens (40) is not present; and the concave lens (40) is disposed at a position such that the distance from the concave lens (40) to the virtual region (22) is less than the focal length of the concave lens (40).
