Abstract:

An oil control ring according to the present invention comprises: a pair of side rails; and a spacer expander disposed between the pair of side rails. The spacer expander has: a plurality of ear parts which inner peripheral surfaces of the side rails contact; and a plurality of rail facing parts which are provided adjacent to the ear parts and face side surfaces of the side rails, wherein all or at least some of the plurality of ear parts satisfy a condition represented by the following inequality (1). Inequality (1): W/H≥1.5 (where W represents the width (unit: mm) of the ear part at a location that is displaced by 0.05 mm from the highest location of the ear part toward the rail facing part, and H represents the height difference (unit: mm) between the highest location of an area, which is adjacent to the ear part, of the rail facing part and the highest location of the ear part).
