Abstract:
A spatial modulation-based transmitter using a lens antenna includes: a plurality of unit antennas; a modulator which performs non-orthogonal multiple access and spatial modulation on an input signal; and a control device which determines a target unit antenna from among the plurality of unit antennas with which to transmit data at the current time point by a spatial modulation technique. The unit antenna includes a plurality of antenna units and a lens structure for changing the phase of an electromagnetic wave output by at least one antenna unit among the plurality of antenna units, wherein the lens structure changes the phase so that the plurality of antenna units each have a different radiation pattern.
